welcome
Welcome to 20th Century Art Archives, specialist dealers and consultants on 20th Century Artist's archives and rare and elusive post-war artist books and ephemera. Louisa Riley-Smith founded 20th Century Art Archives as a personal venture in 1985 into the world of artist papers and books and has been working in this field for over 20 years now. Louisa Riley-Smith worked with Waddington Galleries, London in the 1980's running the catalogue and artist book publishing programme.
Louisa Riley-Smith developed strong links with the British art establishment. She has worked with artist's books, ephemera, periodicals and archival material, often directly with the artists themselves, and has become an established professional in this field. 20th Century Art Archives has exclusive worldwide distribution of two important Conceptual ikons , the 'Art & Project Bulletins' and 'the Art-Language Facsimile Edition'. There is a selection of stock available on individual artists of out-of print items. 20th Century Art is now at the forefront of archival valuations and sales of art archives and artist's papers.
history
Founded in 1985 and specializing in out of print material on British and International art with a special interest in Conceptual and Minimal material, 20th Century Art Archives developed (due to the nature of the period) a stock of ephemera and artist's papers and has worked with both private and institutional clients, on an international level, to build up collections of elusive and original material.
