Hans-Peter Feldmann, „profil Nr. 6 vom 07.02.2000, ohne Worte“ (mit korrespondierendem profil mit Worten), 2000 (profil no. 6 of 07.02.2000, without words" (with corresponding profil with words), 2000
Profile without words (2000), by Hans-Peter Feldmann, is a replica of a news magazine from which all the text has been removed, including advertisements and other types of illustrations. The images stayed and their sequence and positioning on the page have been retained. The magazine becomes a visual extract of current political, economic and cultural affairs, as transmitted by a news magazine. Insofar, the artists' magazine fits with his artistic production of using found objects or photographs recovered from newspapers or bought at flea markets.
It was in the 1970s that he conceived the project of publishing the duplicate of a magazine that would only include his images, erasing all its textual content. However, Feldmann was unable to obtain the agreement of any publication to do so, until museum in progress teamed up with him and succeeded in convincing profil, an Austrian news magazine, to participate in the project. This was not the first time that the weekly magazine had worked with museum in progress
