ORIGINAL, mint copy of bulletin 40, 4pp. Buren uses the space of bulletin 40 to vent his anger at being censored by the curators of the Guggenheim International Exhibition in New York. He reproduces 12 b/w photographs of the original 65-foot work which was hung in the central space of the Guggenheim. The work was removed by the museum at the request of some participating artists who felt their work was compromised and endangered by the presence of this piece in the exhibition. Interesting in view of the recent re-installation of the original work in the same space to much acclaim.
