ARTIST BOOK. Unpaginated (46pp), b/w illus, no text. "Hielos - Picos" by Mexican Bonillas comprises of 25 digital prints on Awagami Kozo Thin White paper. The book has two front covers and can be read from left to right or vice versa. One half of the book is inspired by Carl Andre's contribution to the famous Xerox Book, the other half contains an extract of the series "La Idea del Norte" an illusion of fragments of ice appearing to float in an empty space, forever melting and breaking up. To create this fiction, the artist used the glass plate of a photocopier machine to evoke the sea and broken pieces of porcelain plates to suggest ice. Vg, in paper covers.
