First published in French in 1954 as "Les Fondements du Judo". This is the first English translation. Preface by Mr Ichiro Abe (Yves Klein's Judo professor). Klein was devoted to Judo, he gained the first dan black belt in France. The influence of Judo on Klein's life and work was profound - he continued teaching until 1959 and practiced judo until the end of his life.
