This artist book contains some fine examples of what CHOPIN called Typewriter Poems. The text of this book is concerned with the creation of the expanded European Common market to include 3 new countries (including the UK) from the original 6 - hence the portrait of the 9 refers to this historical event and the new number of countries within the Common market. Chopin was an international artist best known for his publication of the international magazine OU (1958-74) which included works and recordings from an international group of artists. CHOPIN himself made recordings of his own voice which explored the limits of intelligibility.
